I was my own worst judge. I used to fear being exposed as unimpressive, unsuccessful, and unimportant. I even sometimes felt small, dirty, defiled, wrong and unwanted – just not good enough. But I don’t need to feel this shame anymore, I don’t need to numb my psychological pain or blame others for my hurts, because I know deep inside that God approves of me and loves me as his child.
