Peter Case and His New Album, "Doctor Moan"

But if a musician is able to have several different careers in the brutal music business over the course of their lives, it’s not about luck; it’s about talent.Peter Case has plenty of talent: he’s made his name as a great songwriter and vocalist and was also a part of the primordial punk/new wave band, The Nerves as well as The Plimsouls. Over the course of his half-century career, he’s released fifteen solo albums, and just released number 16. It’s called Doctor Moan and it finds Case leaning his usual acoustic guitar against the wall in favor of the piano he spent an inordinate amount of time with during the pandemic.
