Episode #023 - Peter Clarke - 7/7, Litvinenko, and the Future of Terrorism ThreatPeter Clarke joined the Metropolitan Police in 1977. His senior posts included Commander of the Brixton Division, Head of the Royalty and Diplomatic Protection Department, Head of the Anti-Terrorist Branch and in 2006 the first head of the newly formed Counter-Terrorism Command (SO15). From 2009 – 2013 he was a non-executive director of the Serious Organised Crime Agency and from 2013 -2016 a member of the Board of the Charity Commission. In 2014 he was appointed as Education Commissioner for Birmingham to investigate the Islamist infiltration of school governing bodies (the Trojan Horse Enquiry).
