Peter Hook is the English singer, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer, best known as the bassist and co-founder of the English post punk band, Joy Division which later became New Order following the death of frontman, Ian Curtis in 1980. Hook also recorded with Revenge, Monaco, Freebass and currently he is the lead singer and bassist for Peter Hook and the Light. He is the author of The Hacienda: How Not to Run a Club (2009), Unknown Pleasures: Inside Joy Division (2012) and Substance: Inside New Order (2016). From the interview archives, this interview was conducted on the week of November 29, 2014 by DJ Nocturna.I spoke to Peter Hook a week prior to his concert performance with Peter Hook and the Light at the Republik in Honolulu, Hawaii on November 29, 2014.
