Peter Mather: Yukon Photographer’s Journey with Wildlife, Adventure & ‘Kings of the North

He is an adventurer, storyteller, and photographer who has spent his life capturing the spirit of the Wild North. Based in Whitehorse, Yukon, his work focuses on long-term storytelling, bringing to life conservation stories about wildlife, the environment, and northern communities. From documenting the impact of climate change on wolverines to highlighting the harmony between humans and urban foxes, his projects combine video, camera trapping, and photography to inspire and educate. He is a fellow with the International League of Conservation photographers and has worked with National Geographic, the New York Times, Smithsonian, Canadian Geographic, and more on telling important wildlife stories from the North.
