Peter Noone on Living On Music
from Living On Music with Steve Houk · host Steve Houk
Peter Noone has been lauded as a world-renowned multi-talented entertainer for decades, as a singer/songwriter, guitarist, pianist and actor who has been delighting audiences nearly all his life. At the age of fifteen, Peter achieved international fame as lead singer of the legendary 60's pop band Herman’s Hermits, who ultimately sold over sixty million recordings, and had fourteen singles and seven albums that went gold. Throughout the 70's, Noone performed, composed songs and produced recordings with such artists as David Bowie, Debby Boone and Graham Gouldman; his album with the Tremblers, “Twice Nightly” and his solo effort “One of The Glory Boys” were also both critically and commercially successful. With characteristic zeal, Peter also took on leading roles in full-scale theatrical productions of Dick Wittington, Aladdin, and Sinbad The Sailor. The following years found Peter starring on Broadway as well as with both the U.S. National Touring Company and the International Touring Company. Today, accompanied by his band Herman’s Hermits, Noone consistently plays to sold-out venues the world over, and still has a legion of faithful fans known as “Noonatics."Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/living-on-music-with-steve-houk--5376946/support.
