Petersfield British Legion fights on

Fulsome tributes were paid to outgoing Royal British Legion Chairman, Chris Paige who was standing down after three years in the role. However, filling the considerable gap left by Chris's departure precipitated an urgent review of the branch's future - Petersfield RBL is one of the oldest in the world. A special meeting was called on Wednesday 8 July to discuss options, which included finding new officers or merging with another branch or even ending the branch. New officers were elected but new members are urgently needed. Mike Waddington attended the meeting and spoke to outgoing Chairman, Chris Paige, Branch President David Lodrick MBE, and the new chairman James Deane.
