Pfannenstiel the Next Reiger

Wisconsin just snagged a breakout edge rusher in Brody Pfannenstiel, who flipped from Texas Tech to join the 2027 class — and he’s already making waves. With the Badgers’ class ranked top 25 nationally and seventh in the Big Ten, Pfannenstiel’s arrival feels like a blueprint for future success. Scouts are buzzing because he mirrors Mason Reiger — a former Badger standout who dominated with explosive first steps, elite edge-setting, and relentless pressure. Both players share a similar build (6’4”-6’5”, 225-250 lbs) and a knack for bending tackles and getting to the QB. Pfannenstiel’s speed and multi-sport background add even more intrigue. If he develops like Reiger did, he could become Wisconsin’s next game-changing pass rusher — and the Badgers are already looking like title contenders.
