What this episode covers

What’s up guys! Another great week here at Bet Your Ash, lets get into it: Today the guys are smoking on the Partagas Series E No. 2. Special shout out to our buddy Sven for sending them over to us from Portugal while he was opening up his newest Coyo Taco location. Congratulations to him and his wife on a beautiful new baby, these sticks are for you. The guys briefly talk about some end game NBA bets while Gregg lights up his stick, and Cornelius speaks a little bit about how he likes to enjoy cuban cigars, and preserving your palette to get the most out of your high end sticks. Cornelius starts a discussion about poker strategy, and the value of knowing when to take some time off. The conversation progresses into some tactics on properly setting and playing to your reputation at the table, and taking advantage of the law of averages. In celebration of our 64th episode, we discuss some of the NFL greats that have worn that number; specifically Jerry Kramer, and Randall McDaniel. Casey Earl Flynn joins Gregg to talk a bit about the upcoming PGA season while smoking on Esteban Carreras Chupacabra. Gregg and Casey question whether or not Tiger Woods can take home another green jacket, jump into a discussion about potential breakout stars, the players to keep your eyes on this season, and who is in the mix to take home the Torrey Pines title. Some talk about the pressures associated with playing professional sports in your home town leads to some betting strategy on when not to bet on the home advantage, and Gregg asks Casey, who happens to be a huge San Francisco 49ers fan, why we should bet on the 49ers to take home Super Bowl LIV. Cornelius jumps back in with Gregg to discuss their favorite “choke” moment in sports history, and the guys have a detailed chat about active quarterbacks in the NFL. As always, a special thank you to Capitol Cigars, at 919 E. Colfax Avenue, between the Ogden and Filmore theaters in Denver, Colorado.
