Pharmacist Chats

SWTS with being a Pharmacist? “we were thrown in the deep end, but we swam” LOL In this ep Jenny, incredible Pharmacist and Friend (I was the witness at her wedding and it was one of my life’s greatest honours!!) joins the pod to debrief what it’s like to be a Pharmacist, our experience working together early in our careers and making the decision change direction when things don't align. TEASPILL: timeline of my 7 years as a Pharmacist, pressure to perform, ethical and moral dilemmas in pharmacy and what we love/not love so much about the industry and practising as a Pharmacist in different ways. Jenny and I go deep on the fast paced and competitive environment in Pharmacy, forging friendships at work and debunking the myth that Hospital Pharmacy is ‘better’ or more aspirational in some way. To any Pharmacists out there, I commend and celebrate your immense work behind the scenes that often goes without true acknowledgement. If you work in Pharmacy it's highly likely you need a break to breathe most of the time. I see you! Thank you for joining to peek behind the counter and eavesdrop on our Pharmacist chat. Keep in con @swtspodcast on Instagram for more BTS dets and treats. Peace in the streets and catch you next week 😊 SWTS acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land throughout Australia and Meanjin, on which this podcast was created and recorded.
