Phil 2.5-11 'The central core meaning of Christmas' Rev Chris Duke 2023 12 24 am

from Essendon Presbyterian Church · host Essendon Presbyterian Church

Philippians 2:5-11 ‘The central core meaning of Christmas’ He emptied Himself, He took away, but added, “by taking the form of a bondservant.” The second paradox of our text is that the Lord has become a slave. Remember in v6 being in the form of God. The word for form is “morphe.” His was the “morphe of God” and now using the same word ‘morphe,’ He came in the morphe of a servant, “the form of a servant.” All that is true of God, is true of Jesus. All that is true of a servant, is also true of Him.
