The Blues players arrived in Nairobi on Saturday morning - and that made a busy day for Marco Silva's squad and for our Everton FC correspondent Phil Kirkbride, who also found time to fit in this, his latest entry into his pre-season audio diary. It's a good one, as Phil gives us an insight into the interviews he has conducted with director Sasha Ryazantsev - as well as Silva after the Blues boss appeared alongside Theo Walcott in front of the starstruck Kenyan press. Phil explains why Walcott, in particular, is such a big deal for the locals, and why the club had to cancel one of their planned activities. Plenty of youngsters have made the trip, and Phil looks at the futures of Joe Williams and Antonee Robinson as well as revealing why Joao Virginina has been left at home.
