Phil Steele’s Wisconsin Depth Chart Surprises

Phil Steele’s latest college football preview drops big intel on Wisconsin, with surprising QB depth chart rankings, wide receiver shake-ups, and bold portal transfer moves shaking up the Badgers’ projected starters. Ryan Hopkins, once a QB2 contender, now sits at QB4 — a shocker — while Danny O’Neil edges ahead despite a quiet 2023. At WR, Tyrell Henry’s role shrinks to slot, leaving Eugene Hilton, Chris Brooks, and Jaylon Domingeaux as the projected starters. Tight end sees Jacob Harris lead the way, with Ryan Schwendeman — a sought-after transfer — at TE3. Justus Boone, listed as an OLB despite his DE background, starts ahead of Tyreese Fearbry, while Jai’mier Scott, a rookie cornerback, is penciled in to start thanks to his standout spring play.
