Philadelphia Eagles undrafted free agent roster strategy

Following the conclusion of the 2026 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles expanded their roster by adding eight undrafted free agents to join their class of eight drafted rookies. This group features a diverse range of talent, including decorated Alabama defenders Deontae Lawson and Jaeden Roberts, along with Ole Miss standout Kapena Gushiken. The incoming class also highlights specialized roles, such as award-winning long snapper Rocco Underwood and international prospect Joshua Weru, who transitions to football from a rugby background. By securing these players, the organization continues its long-standing tradition of finding valuable contributors outside of the traditional draft rounds. This strategic recruitment effort aims to bolster the team's defensive secondary and offensive line depth as they prepare for the upcoming season.
