Philadelphia Flyers' Draft Fate Hinges on Toronto

The Philadelphia Flyers, making the playoffs, have their first-round picks position determined by their playoff performance. The Ottawa Senators, penalized for a past trade mishap, are stuck with the 32nd overall pick. The Flyers GM, Danny Briere, traded Scott Laughton for a top-ten protected 2027 first-rounder and a prospect. The Toronto Maple Leafs, with a top-five protected 2026 first-rounder, have solid odds for a top-six pick. If Toronto keeps the 2026 pick, protections flip, potentially sending picks to Philly and Boston. The lotterys outcome is crucial for the Flyers draft position.
