Philadelphia man charged in South Jersey shooting

A 38-year-old Philadelphia man was arrested and charged in connection with a shooting in Pennsauken last week. The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office says Kalief Armstrong beat the victim with a bat before shooting him on Haddonfield Road on July 2. The victim was listed in critical but stable condition. Armstrong is charged with first-degree attempted murder, aggravated assault and related offenses. He is being held at the Camden County jail pending a detention hearing.
