Philadelphia Traffic Legend John Butterworth

from The Tim DeMoss Show Podcast · host The Tim DeMoss Show

Local traffic legend John Butterworth joins the show today. For decades, John has reported on it all—from the Conshohocken Curve to Belmont, the Blue Route, 676, I-95, Route 73 and many more roadways all over the Tri-State Area.   John used to do traffic for the "Z Morning Show" which Tim hosted on 990 WZZD (now sister station NewsTalk 990 WNTP) from 1996-2004 & has done thousands of reports over the years on many stations in Philly.   Much ground is covered during this reunion of sorts—from how Butterworth got into traffic & how reporting has changed over the years to memorable reports John has done & experiences like learning how to fly a helicopter (he used to do reports from the sky at one point) in case his pilot died during a flight. Butterworth adds traffic tidbits and fun facts about the Tri-State Area too. A real treat to have him on the show today!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
