from All Of It with Alison Stewart · host WNYC
In 1986, Philip Glass released the album Songs from Liquid Days, which he called "a voyage of discovery" into the art of songwriting, working with lyricists like David Byrne, Paul Simon and Suzanne Vega and featuring vocalists including Linda Ronstadt and the Roches. On Sunday, Lincoln Center will celebrate the album's 40th anniversary with the organization New Latin Wave and the Philip Glass Ensemble. Featured vocalists Sasha Gutiérrez, Melisa Bonetti, and Kayla Viviana join us to preview the concert and perform excerpts from the song cycle. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
