Luke 1:24–25 (ESV) — 24 After these days his wife Elizabeth conceived, and for five months she kept herself hidden, saying, 25 “Thus the Lord has done for me in the days when he looked on me, to take away my reproach among people.” 1.  HAVE THIS MIND.Isaiah 55:8–9 (ESV) — 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. 1 Corinthians 2:16 (ESV) — 16 “For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.   2.  CHRIST DID NOT CONSIDER HIS POSITION.     3.  CHRIST EMPTIED HIMSELF.     4.  CHRIST HUMBLED HIMSELF.     5.  THE FATHER EXALTED THE SON.     6.   THE FATHER GRANTED HIM A NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES. Genesis11:1–5 (ESV) — 1 Now the whole earthhad one language and the same words. 2 And as people migrated from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there. 3 And they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks, and burn them thoroughly.” And they had brick for stone, and bitumen for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we bedispersed over the face of the whole earth.” 5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built. Genesis10:8–10 (ESV) — 8 Cush fathered Nimrod; he was the first on earth to be a mighty man. 9 He was a mighty hunter before the Lord. Therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before the Lord.” 10 The beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. Isaiah14:13–14 (ESV) — 13 You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’   7.   JESUS CHRIST IS LORD.    8.   TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER.1 John 5:3 (ESV) — 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome. Matthew 11:29–30 (ESV) — 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Galatians 5:22–23 (ESV) — 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
