The Phillies lose to the Dodgers in game one of their three game series, 4-2 Zack Wheeler’s night was done after six innings allowing five hits and a career high four solo home runs. Wheeler used 90 pitches as he saw his ERA rise from 1.67 to 2.27 Wheeler’s the first Phillies’ pitcher since Jerad Eickhoff in 2016 to give up four homers and still go six innings. Eickhoff did so in a 15-2 loss to the Pirates. Dodgers starter Justin Wrobleski took a no-hitter into the 6th inning, but Kyle Schwarber smacked a solo homer to center field to break up the no-hit-bid. The home run marked Schwarber’s 22nd on the season, tops in the majors.
