The Philadelphia Phillies get a 3-run rally on Tanner Scott in the 7th inning to get past the Los Angeles Dodgers, 4-3 Jesus Luzardo started for the Phillies and threw 5.1 allowing two runs on seven hits while striking out six. Luzardo had some bad luck on his side as the second Dodger run was scored after a misplay by Justin Craford in center and an error by Adolis Garcia who was trying to back up Crawford on the same play. Roki Sasaki kept the Phillies bats cooled until the 6th inning, when he allowed two base runners with one out. Alex Vesia then entered the game and didn’t allow a run. Sasaki’s book closed at 5.1 innings allowing one run on three hits and a walk, while striking out seven. In that 6th inning, the Phillies loaded the bases with one out and failed to bring a run home. Don Mattingly opted to have Edmundo Sosa pinch hit for Brandon Marsh as the Dodgers had a lefty on the mound in Vesia and Sosa struck out. The in the 8th, Justin Crawford started the rally win a leadoff single, then came around to score on a Bryce Harper RBI single. Then Sosa took Scott deep for the game winning two-run homer!
