Philly restaurant owner using AI to analyze data at businesses

Table for three? Artificial intelligence is pulling up a chair at a restaurant near you. Michael Schulson has added AI to some of his spots in the city, including Sampan, Double Knot, and Giuseppe & Sons. It's not on the menu. You won't get wine pairing recommendations from Claude or a nudge from ChatGPT to "go on, order that dessert!" No — it's a system designed to analyze the numbers: how are sales? What about staffing? Are there enough truffles to top the tagliatelle? Schulson tells the Business Journal he's partnered with the startup AI Labz to test the product. He doesn't expect it to affect any jobs.
