Philly School District pushes back timeline for applications to magnet and criteria-based schools

Because of a delay in state test scores, the Philadelphia School District is pushing back its timeline for applications to magnet and criteria-based schools. Normally, the state Department of Education releases PSSA and Keystone test results in August. But this year was the first time the PSSAs were administered completely online, and PDE says the results won’t be verified until later this fall. Students need those test scores to apply to criteria-based schools.
