Philly’s Julia R. Masterman ranked third-best high school in the country

Julia R. Masterman School -- the competitive magnet school in Spring Garden -- has been named the third-best high school in the country by U.S. News and World Report. Downingtown STEM Academy in Chester County landed at 19th on the list. The rankings consider test performance, graduation rates, and how well students are prepared for college. New Jersey had 44% of its high schools ranked in the top quarter of U.S. News' list. Only Massachusetts had more top-ranked high schools, with 47%.
