Philosophical Aspects of the Formation of the European Union

About the Lecture: Dr. Bulcsu Hoppal would like to highlight some philosophical aspects of the nature of the European Union. He will argue that philosophical personalism (personalistic understanding of the human being) played a decisive role in the formation of the EU. He will address theoretical issues and discuss how Europe is a philosophical phenomenon.
