PHLY Sixers Postgame: Joel Embiid injures face in Sixers loss to Pacers

Joel Embiid (12 points, five assists and four rebounds in 17 minutes) was hit in the face before halftime of the Philadelphia 76ers game on Friday night, went into the locker room and never returned. The team announced that Embiid would not be available due to an "impact to right side of face." The Sixers trailed 61-50 at the half.Tyrese Maxey, Paul George and the rest of the 76ers tried to keep up with the uptempo Pacers but were unsuccessful as Indiana's Tyrese Haliburton erupted for 32 points -- including seven 3s -- and dished out 11 assists en route to a 121-107 win. Maxey led Philadelphia in scoring with 22, George added 15 and Kelly Oubre Jr. registered a double-double of 12 and 13 boards.
