Durante muchos años guardó su anonimato y dejo que hablasen sus melodías.Burial. Burial es el alterego de William Emmanuel Bevan. Uno de los personajes más misteriosos que nos ha dado la electrónica en los últimos años. En sus comienzos y hasta su nominación a un Mercury Price por su magnánimo álbum “Untrue” su identidad era una absoluta especulación. Se rumoreaba que podía ser un nuevo proyecto de Aphex Twin pero no fue así, William Emmanuel Bevan se escondía tras el fantasma de Burial. Phonotoner analiza sus dos álbumes con el sello de su compañero de fatigas en muchos momentos Kode 9, Hyperdub.Desde su disco homónimo “Burial” en 2006 al laureado “Untrue” de 2007 para dar paso a un largo número de pequeños ep y singles siempre bajo el sello de Hyperdub. En pocas ocasiones se saldrá de su casa londinense, colaboraciones con Massive Atack , Four Tet o Thom Yorke son solo unos pocos que han conseguido tratar con este hombre misterioso. Artistas como Rosalía han sampleado sin tapujos temas como “Archangel” para hacerlos suyos y convertirlos en éxitos planetarios. Burial es bruma, es la parte sosegada del Aphex twin de los Ambient Works o la oscuridad que precede a la luz de un mundo que surge de las catacumbas londinenses. Burial.
