Phyllis Curott on Witch Crafting

from Cascadian Prophets

Phyllis Curott is a Wiccan High Priestess, lawyer, author, and spiritual pioneer. This archival interview from November 2001 was about the growing popularity of religions like Wicca and why they weren't just popular to begin with. She touched on the origins of the propaganda against witches as dangerous people with green skin, big noses, and warts who will turn you into newts, and how the reality is that witches are really just people who pay close attention. She says this is the beginnings of magic as well - paying careful attention. The book in question in this interview was Witch Crafting: A Spiritual Guide to Making Magic.  To listen to the original audio of this interview, click here. By Our Love Charlton & Natasha Encouraging others for our King and His Kingdom. Our mission is to live an intentional, simple life, rooted in love. “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets” (Matt. 22:37-40). The common word between these twocommandments is love. So it may be said that the Law of King Jesus, simply put, is the law of love. That one word, love, captures the essence of God’s commandments and beautifully highlights the simplicity of Christ’s nation.
