At ten the man calls and asks for Lou. At two a gray car reads house numbers down Marion’s street, and a nineteen-year-old with a lanyard walks up to a porch with two police cars watching. A story in six chapters, one a day this week, eleven to eighteen minutes each. The people are invented; the numbers at the end of the last chapter are real.
