Pick Your Guru Carefully- How To Select A Mentor

from Not Me, But You! · host Art Kester

Send us Fan MailIn episode 4 of my podcast I give you the highlights of what qualities I recommend you look for in your mentor or guru! Why you may ask would you care about my opinion on thi subject? Well, that's a valid question. The answer to the question is that for over a decade I worked in the education field as a school administrator where I was paid, in part, to evaluate the teaching of teachers. So I know what good teaching looks like and I also know what less effective teaching looks like. I can tell when an instructor knows HOW to teach and also knows HOW to ensure that their knowledge is conveyed to you as their student. This podcast episode is designed to simply touch upon the highlights of my more in depth YouTube video titled "Pick Your Guru Carefully." In that YouTube video I go more in depth into the qualities of good instruction, and the qualities of good teachers. I also explain in that video how many online "mentors" or "gurus" masquerade as teachers/instructors/mentors. Just because someone had made a lot of money doesn't mean that they automatically will be good at teaching you/me how to attain that same level of success! In my YouTube video I also describe HOW marketers think and market and I want you, as a consumer, to understand that marketing process, so that you can make more informed purchases as both a consumer and student. As always, I already believe that you have inside of you everything that you need in order to become successful. And have courage today, to pick one thing, and work on your dreams! YouTube Channel: WAYPA TodayWebsite: www.waypatoday.comFacebook Page: Waypa TodayTwitter: Waypa TodayInstagram: Waypa (dot) Today. Email: [email protected]'m not a financial advisor. I love using Schwab.com to buy/sell stocks/ETF's/closed end funds/options. Schwab has a very user friendly app/website and their customer service is excellent. I can easily get to speak to a human being whenever I have questions.
