Euroliga - FIBA Mientras que la Euroliga contará con un presupuesto de 36 millones de euros para repartir entre 16 equipos, el presupuesto de la FIBA es de 4.420.000, es decir, 4,4 millones de euros a repartir entre 32 equipos. Son datos oficiales que se han dado a conocer hoy en la presentación de la FIBA Champions League, llevada a cabo esta mañana en París. ¿Cómo se reparten esos 4,4 millones de euros? Los beneficios de la FIBA Champions League se reparten en función de los méritos deportivos. Como mínimo, un equipo que juegue la Champions League ganará un mínimo de 100.000 euros. Todo equipo que participe en la FIBA Champions League – un total de 32 equipos – disputa una regular season y, por el hecho de jugar la primera instancia de la competición, ganan 100.000 euros cada uno. De los 4,4 millones de euros, 3,2 millones se destinan a la fase regular, que se come un 72,7% del presupuesto que la FIBA destina a los clubs que juegan la Basketball Champions League. Los equipos que superen la regular season y accedan a la primera ronda del playoff (los octavos de final), ganan 20.000 euros más. Si superan los octavos y acceden a cuartos (segunda ronda de los playoffs) cada equipo gana 40.000 euros. En cuartos de final, los ocho mejores equipos se juegan el pase a la Final Four. El equipo que pierda la final de consolación (cuarto puesto) gana 60.000 euros, el equipo que quede tercero 80.000, el subcampeón 100.000 y el campeón 340.000 euros. En otras palabras: participar en la Champions League está tan valorado como perder la final. En ambos casos los equipos ganan 100.000 euros. La diferencia radica en que el finalista ya ha acumulado ingresos por el hecho de superar fases de la competición.
