TRANSCRIPT · AUTO-GENERATED

Good morning everyone. Happy Sunday morning. Today's topic, title, is picking a favorite city can be tough and the subtitle that I have given is introspection helps. This is in response to a writing challenge, day 13 of a 30-day writing challenge.

And the question was, what is your favorite city in the whole world described it to us? And it should be under 150 words including the title that you choose and subtitle that you choose and the blower that you want to add. And also that any other links that you want to add in the writing. So let's just, I'm going to read it for you guys.

I don't know what I wrote back in September. But it's very nice to, I'm sure I have expressed to these in my previous episodes and why am I hounding on this again and again and again is that there is something that we take what we do or what we have or something for granted and we don't value it much. So what I am realizing is that when I am setting the intention to write for a publication, I have a certain state of mind and I'm giving, I'm disciplining myself to sit and comfort of the computer. And you know what, in laptop there is a keyboard, an iPad that is swiping and it's a different experience that you're giving to your finger.

And also again in the cell phone app, there is a different experience that it gives me. And also what is available through the laptop, the browser settings is different from the app settings. But then I need all the three of them to write, to write because you when you insert your images and all that stuff and then you give credit, so many things are there. So I am actually, it's not when you hear this as a podcast episode or when you read the article in medium.com or in other sub-publication, it is just like one thing, you're seeing the ready made stuff.

But then behind the screens, all these things go on. Do I enjoy it? Absolutely. Do I absolutely.

Does every aspect of this give me revenue? No. That is what I'm learning. You know, we say that it's not the money, but it's something much more.

It's just that learning to love what you do and learning to feel okay if you do not get what you wanted. It's all okay. So when I'm reading this after C, I said it was published in September and we are now in May 2023. When I'm reading it, I have evolved as a different person from September 20, 22, May 2023.

I'm a different, I'm evolved. Why? Based upon what I read, what I grasp, what I see in a YouTube video digitally or in physically when I go out in the real world. So I am evolving.

So I'm going to see my own writing as a different piece. And when I read it aloud and I'm doing it in front of the mirror, so I get to see myself. I get to see the expression when I read. I may not, I'm not ready to share the video of my reading because I'm not feeling that very comfortable.

It's completely okay that we're not human being. However, I like to bring out my voice as a podcast. So when I'm doing all these things, it's a whole different experience guys. I really want you to try it.

Okay. I'm going to continue reading my article. As I was thinking of the various cities where I lived both in India and in the United States and trying to figure out my favorite city, I found it difficult to answer the question. See that's you know why?

Because whichever city wherever I went, okay, I first try to see how is my inner city. If my inner city is happy inside my heart, I didn't even care to remember where I lived, what I did, nothing. I don't know. I know it feels funny guys, but it is what it is.

I'm continuing to read now. You might wonder why? I too was feeling the same way. I could not pick just one.

And also there was something else coming in my way of picking my favorite one, my favorite one. Do you also feel the same way? As I made an effort to think through deeper, I realized that I adapt to living in any city quickly. In other words, I firmly believe that the weather or the behavior of the residents of the city is not in my control.

Guys, wow, this is what I've written after my deep thinking. Okay. The weather or the behavior of the residents of the city is not in my control. It is my responsibility to first love the place and feel belonged to that place internally.

This is what I felt so the same thing I'm expressing. I'm expressed as a thing. Yes, Ival Lalita is also still feeling the same thing very strongly. So I'm going to read it once again, guys.

It's my responsibility to first love the place and feel belonged to that place internally. Once I take that responsibility as a privilege, once I take that responsibility as a privilege, then I start looking for all the things good in that city and make peace with myself to live there. Wow, it's beautiful. Like, oh, wonderfully you have written it.

Now I'm not bragging here. I am trying to help you bring out the magnificent self in you. Okay, try to do it. Figure it out.

You try to answer the question of this prompt. You do a writing. You do a publishing of an article. You just publish an article.

And then you also create your own podcast episode. That's my wish for you. With that said, two cities came to my mind. Miami, Florida and Y Kiki, Hawaii.

You guessed it. The common factor is the beautiful beaches and the huge expanse of ocean connects with my heart and fills me with the feeling of joy and bliss. I feel grateful and appreciative for the beauty of nature that nourishes my eyes and fills my lungs with fresh air. Yet another common factor between the two cities is that I visited them as a tourist.

It makes something different, guys. I didn't live there. Okay, if I were to pick a favorite city that seemed like a land of opportunities and helped me personally live and grow through a life of happiness, sadness, learning, individuality, community and relationship building that would be Mumbai, India. The houses were expensive, but the process of working hard and smart to move from the renter to a whole owner was more exciting and thrilling than any other experience.

The local transportation was crowded, but the people were friendly, warm and respected boundaries. I love that for the Bombay eyes. I can go on and on and on. And I'm choosing to stop here as I have to catch up with the daily prompts 14 and 15.
