Pieces - 1982 (review)

from Video Monsters Hosted by Video Monsters

Day 19 in 60 Days of Halloween continues Fear of Decapitation Week, the fear of E.B. Tolbert (artist and occasional guest on The Gargyle Podcast), with Pieces - a gem of a cult horror film with plenty of boobs, blood, and a bevy of quotable lines that are memorable not only for how unintentionally hilarious they are, but for how they are delivered with such conviction!! I picked this movie up on a whim and I am insanely glad that I did. The movie (and its cover art) are unmistakably a product of their time...and I absolutely love it for that! This episode is a bit longer than our previous reviews, but we go so caught up in how much fun the movie is to watch that we went a bit over our usual time. If you enjoy this episode, check out our previous 60 Days of Halloween episodes and be sure to check back tomorrow as we have a Palette Cleanser before diving into our analysis episode for Fear of Decapitation Week!!
