HOUR ONE: Lee County commission approves a few smart spending initiatives using things like bed taxes and other tourism revenue generators to build things like a new Fort Myers Fishing Pier and new pickleball facilities on Pine Island without any additional costs to taxpayers. The Florida legislature passed a bill forcing a ballot vote in November on control of Naples Airport (KAPF) and who makes the board. Plus, Affordability is the front and center issue at home as things like concert tickets, the red meat, bacon, chips, cereal, candy, and entertainment like streaming and gaming services, and other everyday things are the most expensive they’ve ever been.
