Pigeon River - A Natural Wonder is Back from the Brink

from American Road Trip Talk

In late September of 2024, Hurricane Helene struck, reaching Category 4 intensity in the Big Bend region of Florida and making landfall as a Category 4 storm. As it moved inland, Helene weakened to a post-tropical cyclone over Tennessee. One of the hardest hit areas was Pigeon River, stretching across North Carolina and East Tennessee. The welcome news is that the region is coming back better than ever with a variety of activities centered around its natural beauty and recreational opportunities. Our guests, Stephen Foy and Lacy Bramlett, are partners in a coalition of the willing for the restoration and development of a national treasure.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
