El municipio de Pijao, en Quindío, ya cuenta con un Sistema de Alerta Temprana (SAT), entregado por la Unidad Nacional para la Gestión del Riesgo de Desastres (UNGRD), que permitirá monitorear en tiempo real el comportamiento del río Lejos y la quebrada La Española para emitir alertas oportunas ante posibles avenidas torrenciales.
