Breast Cancer Awareness Poem, "Pink". Full Video Available Now! Lyrics: Let’s just tell the truth. God took his time when making you If loving you is wrong, then this here must be easy Cause I must be Adam in the garden of Eden before he ate the fruit I’m not here to play with you. I wanna do more than just lay with you. I wanna do the one thing that he never could do. That’s be real and stay with you. You hate love? Well I hate it too Cause you changed my entire life, I can’t act as if you replaceable. Let’s just tell the truth. Love you and your perfectly crafted flaws. Every gleam of imperfection, every birth mark, every scar. I know you been dying to take the load off like when coming home and losing the bra. But life changed fast when you lost the need for it all. When life started getting too hard your thoughts were getting too dark Wondering who can you call? So you just drown it out with the shots Or you decide go take a walk You went through so much that no one could have ever thought Let’s just tell the truth You’re personally my hero. You didn’t let the cancer stop you. Not the surgeries. Not the chemo. And to think the pressure would’ve led to depression Asking God all these questions You must be getting tested And to think all you wanted was some time, attention and affection But between work, school, and bills And these men be playing got you stressing I know it. Never underestimate the will of a woman when shes determined keeps going. Let’s just tell the truth. How you do that? Put on that smile, hide that pain? Wipe them eyes, show no shame I know you tired of this lying, these guys calling you out yo name. I love you in every way. Even when your hair turns gray Boobs wrinkled and begin to hang When seasons end and changed And memories start to fade Even when you can barely remember my name You see it as a curse. I see it as blessing so heavenly, to see you overcome things, this cancer especially They tried to keep you down, but you said I won’t let cancer get the best of me I still will find you beautiful and sexually With no hair and a mastectomy I’ll love your insecurities so hard, passionate and effectively Give you all that’s left of me. I swear to God, That’s the perfect recipe You went thru so much in life to give a damn what any man thinks. Let’s just tell the truth. You look beautiful in Pink. Let’s find a cure. Silas
