PipemanRadio Interviews CIVIC at Punk Rock Bowling XXV in Downtown Las Vegas.Australian punk band CIVIC is hitting the road in support of their forthcoming third album, Chrome Dipped, out May 30 via ATO Records.  They are kicked things off with TWO shows at Punk Rock Bowling on Saturday, 5/24 and on Sunday, 5/25 at The Usual Place with New Bomb Turks. Known for their raw, adrenaline-fueled sound, CIVIC pushes beyond the boundaries of their ’70s Australian punk roots on Chrome Dipped, marking a bold shift into new sonic territory while retaining their sharp intensity. Produced by Kirin J. Callinan, the album was recorded at the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) in Tasmania—far from the outback house where their previous album, Taken By Force, came together. The result is a bigger, more expansive sound. Guitarist Lewis Hodgson sums it up best: “We’ve always stuck to the rules, doing Australian punk rock properly.
