Pirates continue dominance over Chiefs

Orlando Pirates continued their dominance over arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs when they beat them 2-1 in an Absa Premiership Soweto Derby played at the FNB stadium yesterday (Saturday, 27 October 2018). Pirates have now extended their unbeaten run against Chiefs to 10 matches, having last lost to them in 2014. Bucs came back from one nil down after Khama Billiat had opened the score in the 15th minute but Innocent Maela cancelled it out 10 minutes later and in the 32nd minute Vincent Pule the Buccaneers in front. Chiefs captain Itumeleng Khune could not hide his disappointment while coach Giovanni Solinas believes that the game was balanced despite Chiefs losing and having very few shots on target. On the other side, Bucs head coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic praised his players and technical team for this win.
