Pitt Panthers: Promise or Plateau | Syracuse Orangemen Football News

Pitt Panthers’ season was a rollercoaster: true freshman QB Mason Heintschel dazzled with over 2K yards and 16 TDs, leading key wins against FSU and Syracuse, but the team’s 8-5 record and second-place finish in conference kept them just shy of elite status. With a modest 62nd-ranked recruiting class, Pitt’s future hinges on Heintschel’s growth, returning stars like rushing leader Ja’Kyrian Turner and receiver Catarus Hicks, and a defense bolstered by new linebackers. Expectations lean toward another solid, if unremarkable, campaign—with a wild prediction: Syracuse pulling off a 24-13 upset on the road.
