Pixels & Perspectives 50th Episode Special! - Featuring 6 Incredible Guests

from Pixels & Perspectives

A short message from me to you:Wow, I can't believe we've hit 50 episodes. So much has changed over the course of this podcast in both my personal and professional lives, but one thing has remained consistent and that is my love of doing this show. Sure, it hasn't always been as frequent as I would have wanted it to be, but I'm always wanting to come back and record. It's given me a chance to just talk about the thing I love with a variety of different people who share a common interest and that is just so damn cool. I think we all want to be heard and this podcast has given me the opportunity to put myself out there. It was scary at first, being a more 'behind the scenes' kind of person, but I am so glad I gave this a shot. The conversations I have had with people, both guests and listeners have made it all so worth it. It's truly humbling knowing people enjoy this show. When I first started Pixels & Perspectives, I didn't know how it was going to be received. I mean, who wants to listen to a Geordie boy gushing about Resident Evil 4 as much as humanly possible?! But no, I have had nothing but positive feedback and lovely comments from everyone who has been kind enough to reach out. The fact that even one person took time out of their day to say 'hey dude, love the pod' means so DAMN much to me. I'm not great at expressing how I feel, but I feel like this podcast has given me the opportunity to grow as a person. Looking back at those initial first episodes is slightly cringe, but I feel like I have evolved for the better over the course of the show as not only a creator but as an individual too. This has been my outlet to talk not just about games, but about life itself. I have no plans on slowing this down. I want to double down on myself and my wonderful guests and I can only hope the next 50 are as fun as the first! I've got plenty of ideas for future episodes and I'm definitely going to rope more of my friends and co-workers into coming on the show to shoot the shit! So from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for listening. You can follow me on X (Twitter) - @DanJDurkin to keep up to date with all things Pixels & Perspectives. Hosted on Acast.
