Plans for new ambulance base in Sligo move to next stage

Plans for a new ambulance base in Sligo are to move to the next step.A site has already been identified in the Maugheraboy area of the town.It's been confirmed that a design team will be appointed early next year and they will be tasked with completing a masterplan for the proposed site to incorporate the ambulance facilities alongside other HSE facilities.This will pave the way for a formal planning application to be submitted thereafter.Fine Gael Cllr Thomas Walsh says the new base is vital for Sligo and its important that the project is now delivered as quickly as possible:
