Plans presented for area highway projects

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is planning three highway projects in Pipestone County over the next several years. MnDOT District 8 Planning Director Megan DeSchepper presented those plans to the Pipestone County Commissioners during their Aug. 11 meeting. The first project planned in Pipestone County is an unbonded concrete overlay resurfacing of U.S. Highway 75 from Hwy. 30 to County State Aid Highway 9 in 2029. DeSchepper said that project will include widening the turn lane, and adjusting the intersection of Hwy. 75 and Hwy. 30. In 2030, MnDOT plans to do a medium mill and overlay on Hwy.... Article Link
