Plant-Based Torah - Parashat Korach: Sacred Responsibility

A D'var Torah for Parashat Korach. In this week's parsha, a rebellion takes place against Moses and Aaron's leadership. The rebels, lead by Korach, insist that their inherent holiness should keep Moses and Aaron from elevating themselves above them. In our time, the Korachs of the world insist that their inherent freedoms should prevent initiatives the overhaul our food system to a sustainable, plant-based one that will help to mitigate the looming climate catastrophe.
