A D'var Torah for Parashat Shelach Lecha. In this week's parsha, Moses sends a group of scouts to observe the Promised Land. Only two of them, Caleb & Joshua, report honestly and optimistically - the others cower in fear. Because of their lack of courage, God dooms the entire generation to die in the wilderness while their children will take their place to enter the Promised Land. In our time, the simple steps we need to make for the sake of the future are responded to with fear - will we suffer the same fate as the Israelites?
