Plant Seeds or Get Weeds (Mark 4:26-29)
from Well Faith with Chris Teien · host Chris Teien
Mark 4:26-29 Winter is over, spring has sprung and hopefully this current swampy-mud season will lead to a quick green up. Jesus taught about seeds and how they grow and then are harvested – it’s interesting to think about. An old comedian Fred Allen used to say, “Most of us spend the first six days of each week sowing wild oats; then we go to church on Sunday and pray for a crop failure.” What seeds are you planting in your life and what do you expect it to yield? If you don’t plant anything in the open areas of your life you can be sure some kind of weed will gladly take up that empty space. Come to Rockwell Church to be encouraged to plant seeds that lead to a delightful harvestSERMON NOTESMay 1, 2022 Mark 4:26-29 Pastor Chris Teien“Plant Seeds or Get Weeds!#1 God is EXPANDING His Kingdom (v.26a)#2 God provides us with SEED to sow (v.26b)#3 God mysteriously causes the seeds GROWTH (v.27)#4 God has designed STAGES of growth and life (v.28-29)#5 God’s enemy & man’s sin leads unattended areas to fill in with WEEDS (Matt 13:24-25)#6 God assures us there will be a JOYFUL Harvest (Ps.126:5-6, 2 Cor 9.10-15) Helping you apply God's Word and follow Jesus in everyday life.
