Sometimes the branches of different trees touch each other, often they do not. In our view, they look like separate beings doing separate work, surviving on their own. What we don't see are the many roots below the earth that are reaching out, different roots of different trees, intertwined, supporting each other, nourishing each other. They may not look like it, but they are planted together.
