She is the author of 7 books including the award winning Herbal Formularies for Health Professionals, a 5-volume series which won an Excellence in Botanical Literature award from the American Botanical Council. Dr. Stansbury has supported traditional ethnobotanical wisdom in her work, studied with Indigenous tribes of the Andes and Amazon, and leads Ethnobotanical tours to the Manu region of Peru each January.
