April and Renee tell Hannah all about their personal story and what led to them becoming platonic life partners, what a PLP actually is, and how to tell the difference between a best friend, a potential PLP, and a romantic love connection. They talk about getting to handpick things that create security and commitment in their partnership without having to deal with the complex legalities of marriage, why it’s more common for women and queer people to have PLPS, and also their experiences of dating other people while in their PLP.
