Play As You Practice

from The AJNashville Podcast · host Alex Jimenez

Why wouldn't you want to train to be the best you can be? When you think about what it is you want to succeed at or who you see yourself as after all the effort you put into something, wouldn't you rather picture yourself as the best at what you now do, or do you really only want to half-ass do the bare minimum, resulting in rock bottom options and you then try to blame others for your own lack of energy put into it? You know you can do better, so why not do better for yourself and your own sense of satisfaction? What about preparing for the best future possible with your family? You have to train your reflexes and habits to respond anew, be willing to correct yourself through awareness of your errors. You have to present yourself physically as someone not to be messed with, and know how to back up the claim in a safe yet effective manner if the need ever arises. Identify your weaknesses in order to strengthen those areas most in need of your time and attention to become better. If it is a challenge you face, maybe that is the thing you need to overcome the most TODAY. If you are in a position you don't like and it is because of you, YOU have to be the one to fix it! Nobody cares about your happiness the way you do, so you have to make decisions based on your level of desire and need to accomplish something. It starts with honesty to yourself and dedication to those who look up to you by committing to your own word to do better. Hold yourself accountable when you catch yourself slipping, and remember to stay focused on why you are doing something, because that answer tells you everything you need to know to do the actual thing.
